Congratulations to Kenneth and Teresita.
Ken is from Lowell and Teresita is from Boston. They took the home buyer training program in the City of Boston. When they began to consider their first home purchase, they selected Lowell because it was affordable and it had a down payment assistance program. With their second child on the way, they were anxious to find the right house.
Ken met with Ed Alcantara, our home buyer counselor, to determine their eligibility for the City of Lowell’s down payment assistance. They were working with a realtor who was not familiar with the program but quickly learned how easy the process is.
They purchased a two family home and Teresita’s mother lives in one of the units. With the rental income, their monthly living expenses are less than what they were paying for a cramped apartment. Ken is now able to focus on his goal of joining the Massachusetts State Police force.
Diana Carvajal-Hirsch of Boston Private Bank provided their mortgage financing.
We wish Kenneth and Teresita and their two boys the best as they settle in as home owners.
